Breccia Productions was born from a moment of curiosity and wonder.

Founder Cali Krajcik was hanging out with his friend Clayton one evening while living in Oklahoma City.

​

During their time together, Clayton received a phone call from his mother—a nationally recognized, award-winning 5th-grade science teacher. She had just received a special delivery from NASA: actual pieces of the moon to share with her students.

​

She invited Clayton to come take a look, and he brought Cali along for the experience. There, Cali had the rare opportunity to examine moon fragments and a material called "breccia" under a microscope.

​

Breccia forms when meteors enter Earth’s atmosphere, shatter, and fuse with other particles to create a new type of rock. Each piece of breccia is completely unique. It can be found in space or on Earth—above ground or beneath the sea. In essence, breccia is like a "space snowflake."

Cali was captivated by the beauty, randomness, and individuality of breccia. It felt like the perfect symbol for his creative work, and the name of his company.

 

On November 11, 2011, Breccia Productions was officially founded.
